Coal Drops Yard

Coal Drops Yard is another exciting project that Mitchellson have had the pleasure of working on as part of Kings Cross Central development.

Originally built in 1850 the historic coal drop buildings were used as a coal distribution and storage facility before becoming warehousing a nightclub and offices. By 2008 they were derelict but the Coal Drops has now been transformed into a vibrant shopping and entertainment destination. This exciting retail and leisure development offers a range of independent shops and signature brands from home and abroad.

Mitchellson scope of works on this unique project included Substructures, Drainage, 8 Exposed Concrete Lift Shaft Cores, Exposed Concrete Shear Walls, Decorative Concrete Beams and Concrete Topping on Metal Decking.
