The Featherstone Building is a new mixed use commercial development consisting of office and retail space.

The Building will have an Internal floor area of 125,000 sq. ft and is designed to look like four separate office blocks that vary in height and colour. The site is located at a point of landmark significance, fronting City Road at the junction of Featherstone Street and South of the Old Street Roundabout.

The site has particular constraints including the following:

  • Party Walls – City Road & Featherstone Street
  • NR & LUL
  • Bunhill Fields Burial Grounds
  • Traffic Restrictions

The project itself is a commercial development involving capping beam construction over a contiguous pile wall, temporary works propping installation, bulk excavation, formation of basement box pilecaps and slab, liner walls, exposed concrete special finish walls and columns, suspended slab with soffit, exposed precast concrete stairs complrising of an eleven storey tower and afive storey podium, providing a space for multiple functions offering office space, ground floor retail and affordable work space.

The project is currently underway and the scheme is due to be delivered in early 2022.
